Senior Consulting Engineer, Marine Structural

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is a national engineering firm committed to delivering holistic advice for our clients' most complex challenges. We are seeking a Senior Consulting Engineer, Marine Structural to join our team.

Requirements

• M.S. degree in Civil, Structural, Engineering required.
• 9+ years of experience in structural analysis and design of structural concrete, prestressed concrete and steel structures.
• Registered professional engineer in the United States, or ability to obtain within 12 months of joining SGH
• Fluency on ASCE 61 and PIANC Seismic design of Port Structures Guidelines is a plus.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Communication skills: excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills; Ability to convey information to internal and external clients clearly.
• Problem-solving ability: capability to solve minor or complex problems using data, logic, and judgment. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to travel for project site visits, client meetings, and business development, including some overnight travel and international travel.
• Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
