Job Description
The Office of Water Quality’s Compliance Assessment and Reporting Section is seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to compile, analyze, and interpret water quality and hydrologic data, ensuring compliance with environmental permits and standards, and providing technical guidance to support water resource management decisions.
Requirements
- Prepare and contribute to annual permit compliance reports for South Florida Water Management District projects
- Perform water quality and hydrologic analyses, including nutrient load calculations
- Respond to time-sensitive requests for water quality and hydrologic data analysis related to water management operations, storm events, and construction activities
- Analyze and interpret water quality, surface water flow, stage, and rainfall data
- Summarize, document, and communicate technical findings through written reports and presentations
- Use data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Python / R, and SQL to extract, manage, and analyze environmental datasets
