Job Description
This Shift Supervisor position at the New York Shelter supports daily operations by ensuring client services, staff safety, facility cleanliness, and healthcare compliance. The role involves supervising activities, managing schedules, overseeing safety and health procedures, and coordinating transportation and appointments. Candidates must be able to obtain an FDNY-80 certification and CPR/Food Handler certifications within 90 days of hire.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in human services (housing or substance use issues preferred)
- FDNY F-80 certificate of fitness within 90 days
- CPR and NYC Food Handler certifications (as needed)
- Flexible availability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
