Job Description
E4A Solutions is a leading engineering firm seeking a skilled Transformer Field Assembly Technician to assemble, install, inspect, test, and commission medium and high voltage power transformers at customer sites.
Requirements
- Assemble and install power transformers (typically 480V to 500kV) and associated accessories
- Perform oil processing and vacuum filling using filtration and degassing equipment
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on On-Load Tap Changers (OLTCs)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals
- Support electrical testing such as power factor, winding resistance, ratio, and insulation resistance
- Document all work performed, complete assembly checklists, and prepare comprehensive technical field reports
- Professionally interface with clients, transformer manufacturers, OEM representatives, and other site contractors
