E4A Solutions is seeking a Substation Commissioning Engineer to verify plant equipment complies with project contracts and specifications, ensuring operational feasibility, and confirming that systems are installed and tested according to supplier and engineering requirements.
Requirements
- Develop commissioning packages and manage associated documentation.
- Assist in creating and maintaining detailed testing and commissioning schedules.
- Plan commissioning activities and major project milestones such as relay testing, equipment functional testing, SCADA checkout, and end-to-end system verification.
- Oversee the process from construction completion through energization and client turnover.
- Create and execute commissioning procedures that meet contractual and technical requirements.
- Prepare for and coordinate key commissioning efforts, including equipment and system walkdowns.
- Identify and manage deficiencies, spare parts, and consumables throughout the commissioning process.
- Lead efforts within the engineer’s discipline by verifying installation quality, confirming operational feasibility, documenting field engineering changes, ensuring systems are tested per vendor instructions, and providing functional oversight of other engineers and technical personnel.
- Review and prepare technical reports that summarize testing status, findings, and variances.
- Ensure all safety and quality protocols are followed during commissioning.
- Support continuous improvement and participate in change management processes.
