The Deskside Support team within Penn State IT is seeking a customer-focused, self-driven, and highly motivated IT Support Specialist- Senior Support to join a team supporting approximately 10,000 endpoint devices across 28 non-IT business units.
Requirements
- Provide advanced hardware and software support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and escalations.
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, imaging, inventory, and decommissioning.
- Lead or support IT projects, committees, and process improvement efforts.
- Foster strong relationships between IT and faculty/staff.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to urgent incidents.
- Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and training of team members.
