Job Description
NYLAG is seeking a highly motivated Bilingual Spanish-speaking Staff Attorney for a full-time position, providing legal representation to individuals in removal proceedings. The role requires proactive problem-solving, client commitment, and a passion for immigrant rights. The attorney will work with individuals in upstate New York, federal courts in New York City, and at the New York Family Unity Project (NYIFUP).
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited school
- Admission to the New York State bar
- Fluency in Spanish
- Minimum 2 years experience working in removal defense preferred
- Excellent writing, speaking and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative setting
