Job Description
The Project Engineer facilitates the development of capital and OPEX projects at the Geismar site. This role involves performing engineering tasks, analyzing requirements, and ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. It focuses on improving lifecycle costs and lifecycle issues like technology selection, project monitoring, and identifying potential safety risks. The engineer will support project execution and closeout phases, providing support to other Project Engineers and contributing to the design approval process.
Requirements
- Utilizes the MCMP procedure to progress a project.
- Manages Technical small to mid-sized capital projects.
- Leads the selection of alternative studies during Stage 2.
- Leads the request for funding (AFE) on capital projects.
- Prepares a high-level Schedule during Stage 1.
- Prepares an Order of Magnitude cost estimate during Stage 1.
- Monitors the performance of contractor companies.
