Job Description
The Mechanical Project Engineer is the primary technical point of contact between Methanex and project contractors, responsible for coordinating mechanical engineering, design, and procurement of project assets.
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a Capital Project environment.
- Associated experience with plant operations, commissioning, or start-up management.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a technical environment.
- Experience in mechanical engineering around reformers, refractory, fired heaters, and other methanol front-end systems (preferred).
- Working knowledge of the MPS, especially Piping and Static Equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and/or issues at once.
- Positive partnership with individuals at all levels.
