Job Description
M9 Solutions is seeking an Oracle DBA to work on-site for a client located in Springfield, VA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA and strong experience with Oracle 12c/19c administration.
Requirements
- Administer, maintain, and support Oracle databases across development, test, and production environments.
- Perform database installation, upgrades, patches, and migrations (on-prem and cloud).
- Implement and manage backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and other tools.
- Monitor database performance and conduct advanced performance tuning and optimization.
- Configure and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard, RAC, GoldenGate, etc.).
- Support cloud deployment activities, including provisioning, configuration, and migration of databases to/from cloud platforms.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell, Python, SQL, PL/SQL).
- Troubleshoot database issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application requirements.
- Ensure database security, compliance, and best practices are followed.
