Job Description
We're hiring Platform Engineers to build the systems that make Heron's document automation platform work. The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of experience as a backend engineer and a strong CS foundation, with experience building backend systems at a startup or growth-stage company. We're looking for someone who can build the infrastructure that ensures our backend stays fast and reliable as volume grows, and who cares about reliability and developer experience.
Requirements
- Strong CS foundation (degree or equivalent depth)
- 3-6 years of experience as a backend engineer
- Experience building backend systems at a startup or growth-stage company
- Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (GCP), databases, CI/CD, and the unglamorous work that keeps a platform running
- Ability to debug real customer issues end-to-end
- Contribution to architectural decisions that shape how Heron's backend evolves
