Shift Lead

Responsible for daily kitchen functions including food preparation and maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness, and supervision of employees.

Requirements

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Goodfellas Pizzeria
• Maintain cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, equipment, and food storage areas
• Monitor sanitation practices and quality of food products
• Estimate and control food cost and usage
• Instruct cooks in food preparation and presentation
• Work with managers to plan and price menu items
• Supervise food preparation and ensure products are prepared according to standards
• Schedule personnel and ensure labor cost objectives are met
• Inspect supplies and equipment to ensure conformance to standards
• Order and requisition food, equipment, and supplies
• Ensure deliveries are performed in accordance with receiving policies and procedures
• Determine production schedules and staff requirements
• Check the quantity and quality of received products
• Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays
