Laboratory Manager - Plant Biology Institute

The Ellison Institute of Technology is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead the operations, technical, and compliance functions of a rapidly expanding plant science research laboratory. This role will oversee all aspects of lab facility management, ensuring safety, equipment maintenance, workflow optimisation, and resource allocation. The successful candidate will manage a multidisciplinary technical team and liaise with stakeholders to ensure the seamless support of scientific research.

Requirements

• Oversee daily facilities of the laboratories, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage laboratory technicians and stores manager.
• Implement and enforce laboratory safety procedures.
• Work with external vendors to maintain laboratory equipment.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for relevant laboratory processes.
