Head of Lab Management - Plant Biology Institute

EIT, a flagship research facility at the Ellison Institute of Technology, is seeking a Head of Lab Management to lead the establishment and long-term operation of laboratory management within the Plant Biology Institute. This role is crucial in building and overseeing a team of lab managers and technicians to create and maintain a world-class research environment. The ideal candidate will lead the transformation of lab spaces into fully functioning research facilities, fostering collaboration and innovation within the Institute.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Plant Science, Biological Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in research infrastructure, laboratory planning, or scientific facilities management
• Significant experience in laboratory management, operations, or facilities leadership
• Proven track record of building and leading multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of laboratory workflows for plant science
• Understanding of growth environment requirements
• Knowledge of laboratory health and safety and compliance
