Job Description
East Side House is seeking a part-time Tutor to provide structured academic support and guidance to students throughout the school year. The primary role of the Tutor is to help ensure that students meet or exceed grade level standards and expectations within a given subject area.
Requirements
- A commitment to the mission and programs of East Side House
- Bachelor's degree in education, human services, or related field
- Minimum of two years' experience with youth at risk and/or school setting
- Excellent verbal, analytical, writing, communication, organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment and multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of community service/ development
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word and other applications
