Job Description
The CT State Community College is seeking a part-time tutor for the Second Chance Pell Program, providing tutorial services to students in small groups at a Connecticut Department of Correction facility.
Requirements
- Associate degree in the assigned academic field or a closely related field
- One (1) or more years of related teaching and/or tutoring experience
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the assigned academic discipline
- Experience in tutoring and basic instruction in the assigned academic discipline
- Knowledge of principles and concepts of the assigned academic discipline
- Experience supporting students in academic goal setting and career planning
- Proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong Information technology literacy skills
