Tutor

The Connecticut State Community College is developing a pool of applicants for potential part-time tutoring positions. The Tutor provides tutorial services to students, one on one or in small groups, in a specific learning unit or center such as science, technology, language arts or business administration.

Requirements

• Associate degree in the assigned academic field or a closely allied field
• One or more years of related teaching and/or tutoring experience
• Experience in tutoring and basic instruction in the assigned academic discipline
• Knowledge of principles and concepts of the assigned academic discipline
• Experience supporting students in academic goal setting and career planning
• Proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students
