The Child Development Substitute Assistant Teacher assists and participates in teaching, protecting, and providing care for pre-school children in a Community College child development center. The Child Development Center provides childcare, child development, nutrition, and related services for the pre-school children of students, staff, and citizens of the community.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education
- Experience working with young children (ages 6 months - 5 years old)
- Experience in Early childhood education
- Experience in Child development and learning principles and applications
- Experience in Child protection and care
- Proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students
- Experience with reflective, interactive, culturally responsive pedagogical teaching techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
- Two (2) years of related experience working with preschool children and child development
