Job Description
The Respite Aide is a vital part of the nursing department at the Barbara McInnis House, providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing homelessness. This part-time position involves clinical support, assisting the RN team and ensuring continuity of patient care. The role is crucial for maintaining confidentiality, patient rights, and maintaining accurate records. Part of a team, it supports effective operation and communication within the clinic.
Requirements
- Treats patients with respect and dignity.
- Proficient with basic computer skills and office equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant.
- Current Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), successful completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program, or EMT License.
- Life support training certification.
- Experience in a medical environment preferred.
