Job Description
Boston Health Care for the Homeless is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide high-quality healthcare to families and youth experiencing homelessness. The CMA will work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, perform administrative and clinical tasks, and ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with regulations. The role involves both clinical and administrative duties within the Family Team to address the unique needs of homeless individuals.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE)
- 1+ year of previous Medical Assistant experience in a Physician's office (preferred)
- Certification program in immunization administration
- Pediatric Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
- Life support training certification (e.g., CPR, BLS, ACLS) from a course with hands-on component.
- Administrative experience (preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish or Haitian Creole proficiency (preferred)
