Principal Scientist (m/f/d) Computational Cancer Biology

We are seeking a Principal Scientist – Computational Cancer Biology to join our team in Vienna, Austria. As part of our growing Computational Innovation function, you will join a global, multicultural, and open‐minded team driving digital innovation and cutting‐edge computational science. In this role, you will drive innovation in computational oncology by advancing mechanism‐of‐action insights, refining patient segmentation through biomarkers and generating drug‐resistance hypotheses.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in computational biology, biology, medicine or another relevant life‐science field, combined with 2+ years of industry or postdoctoral experience in oncology or cancer biology.
• Strong foundation in modern computational data analysis methods and familiarity with oncology‐related public datasets.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python, including experience with widely used computational biology and scientific computing libraries.
• Excellent critical thinking, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, to communicate complex technical content to multidisciplinary teams.
