Job Description
Zanskar is a startup company focused on developing new geothermal resources through geothermal energy exploration. They are seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to develop and maintain a multi-physics well-targeting engine, collaborating with geophysicists and engineering teams. The role involves leadership, learning, and contributing to the evolution of the company's technology.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years experience in software engineering in a business environment
- Experience leading the design and implementation of distributed computing systems
- Fluency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with cloud computing services (GCP, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub)
- Fluency in cloud engineering (GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform)
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Experience defining and developing persistent data storage
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and containerization
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging
