Biology & Chemistry Faculty

Western Reserve Academy is seeking dynamic and collaborative biology and chemistry faculty to inspire students and engage the school community. The role involves teaching chemistry and biology courses at various levels, participating in student activities, serving as an academic advisor, and contributing to academic development. They emphasize a balance of duties and responsibilities, with a focus on innovative laboratory exercises.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience teaching chemistry.
• Preferred Master’s degree in biology, chemistry or a closely related field.
• Academic preparation to teach all levels of chemistry.
• Ability to lead and develop innovative laboratory exercises.
• Experience with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with a team and independently.
• Experience in academic leadership.
• Motivation to provide and engage in enrichment experiences for students, such as academic competitions or STEM activities.
