Job Description
Wellpath is seeking a full-time, prn Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide medical services to inmates in Coal Township, PA. This role involves conducting clinical care, documenting services, assisting with emergency treatments, and maintaining patient confidentiality in a correctional environment. The NP will work under the supervision of site physicians and guidelines, ensuring adherence to state and facility policies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred
- Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Scheduling flexibility to rotate hours and shifts
- Ability to work effectively in a corrections environment
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Compliance with state and facility policies
