Departmental Budget Analyst - MSAP

The Magnet Schools Assistance Programs (MSAP) Budget Analyst is seeking a qualified individual to analyze, verify, and reconcile MSAP budgets. This position focuses on maximizing the use of resources, ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations, and tracking encumbrances and invoices. The role collaborates with various school systems staff and vendors, contributing to improved student performance. The position is funded by a grant and is expected to end March 30, 2026.

Requirements

• Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
• Five years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field
• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in business, accounting, or related field
• Two years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field
• Knowledge of Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) financial systems and processes
