Sr Director, Physical Plant

The Sr Director, Physical Plant role leads planning and executing new capital infrastructure investments, oversees operations, maintenance, and repair of facilities, and manages a team of managers and coordinators. The role requires expertise in critical infrastructure, project management experience, and supervisory experience.

Requirements

• 10 years + managing or designing critical electrical infrastructure including but not limited to UPS systems, generators and static/transfer switches.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible administrative, supervisory, and facilities management experience.
• Minimum five years of supervisory experience, directing contract, skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled trade personnel.
• Experience in maintenance and service contract compliance/procurement.
• Project management experience required in overseeing capital projects, maintenance plans, and/or renovation projects.
• Ability to read design drawings and overlap with in-house & external design professionals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and relate to and build teams.
• Experience in managing the finance/budget of a large complex organization and projects.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on customer service.
• Experience in interacting effectively with stakeholders and coworkers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude and developing a team environment.
• Knowledge of ADA and building code requirements, OSHA and EPA regulations.
