Welder

Walters Group is a family-owned steel construction company that designs, fabricates, and constructs unique and complex commercial and industrial projects throughout North America. We're seeking a Welder to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of welding structural steel experience
• Completion of three year apprenticeship program in Metal Fabrication or Welding is an asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
• Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial
• Ability to operate overhead cranes
• Ability to weld with Fluxcore and sub-arc
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
• A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment
• Organization Skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
• Communication skills – both written and oral
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem solving skills
