The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will administer nursing care to terminally ill patients in the VITAS program, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This involves direct bedside nursing care, evaluation of patient needs, and collaboration with a registered nurse. The role focuses on providing comfort, promoting independence, and ensuring appropriate patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital setting.
- Valid driver's license with liability insurance
- Willingness to work flexible schedule (e.g., weekends or rotating shifts).
