Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists terminally ill patients in the VITAS program, providing direct skilled bedside nursing care. Responsibilities include administering treatments, assessing patient needs, documenting findings, and ensuring a safe environment. The role is critical for providing comfort and supporting independence.

Requirements

• Maintain transportation to work.
• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year in an LPN/LVN role in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
• At least one year of experience with a reasonable equivalent experience. Some experience may be considered.
