The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists terminally ill patients in the VITAS program, providing direct skilled bedside nursing care. Responsibilities include administering treatments, assessing patient needs, documenting findings, and ensuring a safe environment. The role is critical for providing comfort and supporting independence.
Requirements
- Maintain transportation to work.
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year in an LPN/LVN role in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
- At least one year of experience with a reasonable equivalent experience. Some experience may be considered.
