We are seeking a Patient Service Representative - Urology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate in English, and basic proficiency in computer use.
Requirements
- Greets visitors, patients, and families in a friendly professional manner
- Maintains an efficient patient flow through the registration process
- Answers the telephone, directs calls appropriately, and takes accurate messages
- Posts all self pay charges, collects payments, and provides patient with receipt
- Scans the insurance card, processes insurance verifications, and updates patient account
- Schedules appointments accurately, uses waitlist when applicable, and confirms future appointments
- Completes referrals according to departmental guidelines and properly enters into the appropriate system
- Effectively communicates problems, concerns, or issues to the Office Supervisor / Manager
- Performs various clerical duties such as faxing, photocopying, scanning, filing and mailings
- Demonstrates flexibility with various work schedules and covers for other staff when asked
