Job Description
Our client, a leader in the food industry, is seeking an R&D Technician to support product innovation from concept to commercialization. This entry-level, hands-on role offers the opportunity to work in lab and pilot plant settings, contributing to the development and testing of new formulations, processes, and ingredients.
Requirements
- Develop, test, and evaluate new product formulations and process improvements in lab and pilot plant environments
- Prepare samples for internal testing, customer evaluation, sensory panels, and shelf-life studies
- Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and pilot plant machinery following SOPs and safety protocols
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data; prepare detailed reports and technical documentation
- Maintain R&D lab organization, inventory management, and supplies ordering
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Operations teams to support scale-up trials and production runs
- Troubleshoot product testing issues and provide feedback to R&D scientists and engineers
- Stay current on food industry trends, ingredient innovations, and emerging processing technologies
- Support commercialization activities and new product launches
