Paramedic

University Hospital is seeking a Paramedic to provide and direct Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS and ALS) care in the pre-hospital setting. The Paramedic will assess, treat, and transport patients, ensuring accurate documentation and representing the University Hospital and EMS with professionalism. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent patient care while upholding ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of EMS experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of EMS driving experience with a clean driving record
• Valid PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) or BTLS (Basic Trauma Life Support) provider card preferred
• Valid NJ Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic, NJ Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), or MICN applicants must obtain certification before completing the probationary period (per N.J.A.C. 8:41-9.9)
• Active, valid certification as one of the following:
• NJ Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic
• NJ Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN)
• MICN applicants must obtain certification before completing the probationary period (per N.J.A.C. 8:41-9.9)
• Valid driver’s license with NJ driving privileges
• Credential Requirements
• Requirements: Must pass a medical evaluation and respirator fit test
• Must be able to wear an N95 particulate filter respirator mask per PEOSHA standards
