Paramedic, EMS Services- Critical Care Transport Unit

The Paramedic service is responsible for providing and directing both Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS and ALS) care in the pre-hospital setting. This role involves responding to patients of all ages and backgrounds in all weather conditions and ensuring accurate documentation. The Paramedic works collaboratively with EMS team members and medical controls, representing University Hospital and EMS in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Experience & Preferences: Minimum of two (2) years of EMS experience, minimum of two (2) years of EMS driving experience with a clean driving record, and CEVO training course preferred.
• Valid PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) or BTLS (Basic Trauma Life Support) provider card preferred.
• Medical & Safety Requirements: Must pass a medical evaluation and respirator fit test.
• Must obtain provisional EMT-Paramedic certification from NJDOH or full NJ Paramedic certification per N.J.A.C. 8:41A-4.2 before starting work
