Trimble is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize our Asia-Pacific (APAC) manufacturing operations. This role will be based remotely with international travel required, particularly to our contract manufacturing partner in Ayutthaya, Thailand, other APAC locations and occasionally to the United States.
Requirements
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans for the APAC region, in alignment with Trimble's global operational goals and business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational functions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with global operations, engineering, product management, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of APAC operations into the broader Trimble ecosystem.
- Manage and provide direct oversight of the Trimble team located at our contract manufacturing partner in Ayutthaya, Thailand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the contract manufacturer's leadership, ensuring clear communication, alignment on objectives, and effective problem resolution.
- Oversee all manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to Trimble's quality standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage production planning, inventory control, and logistics to optimize material flow and meet customer demand.
- Drive initiatives to improve production yield, reduce scrap, and optimize cycle times
- Collaborate with global supply chain teams to optimize raw material sourcing, supplier relationships, and logistics within the APAC region.
- Monitor and manage supply chain risks, including geopolitical factors, natural disasters, and supplier performance.
- Implement strategies to improve supply chain resilience and responsiveness.
- Ensure that all products manufactured in the APAC region meet Trimble's stringent quality standards and relevant industry certifications.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality-related issues.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operations professionals in the APAC region.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
- Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members.
