Seasonal Maintenance Operator (Seasonal Arborist)

The Department of Community Services, Facility, Operations & Environment Division is accepting applications for the role of Seasonal Arborist. The Seasonal Arborist supports daily activities of operational services within the division, performing a variety of operational tasks to support urban forestry while ensuring they are meeting service levels and following all safety standards.

Requirements

• 1 year Post Secondary Diploma in Urban Forestry Arboriculture Program
• Post-secondary education parks or maintenance or related field and/or combination of relevant post secondary education and related experience is an asset
• Minimum one (1) year experience in municipal public works or parks and/or other relevant and/or equivalent experience
• Two (2) years of experience in municipal forestry operations is an asset
• Possession of a class “G” Ontario Driver’s license is required
• Valid Standard First Aid Certificate / CPR and WHMIS would be considered an asset

Benefits

• Hourly wage: $26.40 - $28.51
