Job Description
The Registered Nurse position in the Nursing Resource Team will involve floating to any unit as required within the hospital. The role requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a willingness to learn about mental health and addiction issues. The RN will contribute to providing high-quality psychiatric nursing care.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Up to 3 months Nursing Experience
- Knowledge of mental health/addiction issues
- Clear understanding of MHA and relevant legislation
- CPR certification within the last 12 months (BCLS at a minimum)
- Evidence of continuing professional education
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Problem solving, leadership and management skills
- Sensitivity and experience working with diverse individuals and communities
- English level A- is mandatory
- Bilingual (French/English) is a plus
