The Postdoctoral Scholar will pursue specialized research training, education and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The scholar will investigate the pathological functions of lactate in the development of lung fibrosis, elucidate mechanisms of myofibroblast differentiation and apoptosis resistance via cellular communication, and explore the role of fibrotic fibroblasts in the pathogenesis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).
