The Asset Renewal Construction Manager serves as the owner’s representative for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), supporting multiple construction projects aimed at replacing end-of-life airport assets.
Requirements
- Manage and oversee pre-construction and construction activities across multiple concurrent projects.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and work plans.
- Review TOS acquisition packages for accuracy and compliance.
- Draft NTP letters and supplemental documents for project initiation.
- Lead pre-construction and weekly progress meetings.
- Coordinate with airport stakeholders (Operations, Facilities, SCC, APD, etc.).
- Manage project scope, documentation, agreements, authorizations, and deliverables.
- Oversee BIM, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, mock-ups, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
- Support permitting coordination with Agencies Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Enforce the LAWA Design & Construction Handbook (DCH) standards and guidelines.
- Monitor QA/QC processes, change proposals, and monthly risk reporting.
- Review contractor pay applications for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Mentor and support project staff.
