Senior Planner

Ipswich Borough Council is looking for a motivated, ambitious Senior Planner to join their Planning Policy Team. The role involves the preparation of evidence base studies, monitoring and supporting the preparation of the next Ipswich Local Plan. The ideal candidate will have previous Local Plan making experience and a relevant degree or post graduate diploma in planning or a relevant field.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or post graduate diploma in planning or a relevant field
• Previous Local Plan making experience
• Experience of or keen interest in housing as a topic area
• Membership of the RTPI
• Effective project management skills
• Passion for improving the built environment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders
