Job Description
The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in the company's accounting processes, assisting with general accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and performing month-end close processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, or a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, macros, power query).
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, Avalara, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with sales tax compliance, inventory accounting, and cost accounting is preferred.
