Job Description
SpruceID is seeking a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to lead and shape digital identity solutions for state governments and public sector partners. This role involves technical leadership, strategic delivery, system architecture, and fostering collaboration with engineering, delivery, and executive teams. It's a hands-on role requiring customer engagement and impactful technical execution. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling to public sector locations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering production-grade software in statically typed languages (Rust, Go, Java, C#)
- Proven ability to lead large-scale engineering efforts
- Strong expertise across the software development stack
- Demonstrated experience working with public sector or highly regulated industries
- Excellent leadership, communication, and consulting skills
- Based in the US and willing to travel
