The Behavior Interventionist is responsible for assessing students with behavioral issues, collecting data, and devising plans to support students' social-emotional growth. They work with parents, teachers, and mental health partners to implement Positive Behavior Support and Conscious Discipline techniques.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with area mental health providers
- Collaborate with local community agencies and providers
- Advocate for SEK-CAP within the community
- Maintain knowledge of early childhood development theories and best practices
- Collect and analyze data on strategies and behavior support plans
- Report data on the provision and outcomes of mental health and special education services
- Attend all required in-service training, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
- Support management directives and organizational decisions
