The Business Development Manager – Communications and Technology will identify new target market opportunities, support large project and blanket bids, and implement training programs in the core markets and regions they are assigned.
Requirements
- Identify new and expand existing communications and technology services opportunities for targeted sales growth and stabilization
- Drive sales growth in the traditional Service Provider markets with key customers, integrators, engineering firms and other key decision makers
- Negotiate strategic vendor partnerships to support market growth
- Recommend upgrades to current inventory based on business insights and product knowledge
- Advise business leaders and take a central role in large project specification and pricing support
- Drive continual improvement through on-going training and mentoring
- Direct knowledge and contacts in the Electric Utility and Service provider markets including infrastructure, EPC, utility, industrial end-user, OEM and electrical contractor customers
- Gather insights and collaborate with other business leaders to interpret feedback from stakeholders and adjust strategies and tactics accordingly for short- and long-term business success
- Work directly with local district managers and account managers to drive growth opportunities for the Communications and Technology group into Electric Utility accounts (cooperatives, municipals, IOUs)
- Prepare financial models for upper-level management for reporting capability to the customer level
- Positively represent and promote the company to vendors, customers and within the community
