Job Description
ServerHub is seeking a Senior Linux System Engineer to optimize, secure, and maintain their cloud and hosting platforms. This role involves troubleshooting, server administration, automation, and cloud management, with a focus on high availability and security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scaling operations and mentoring junior team members.
Requirements
- 11+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
- 7+ years of experience in a Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role.
- Must be a KVM and Livbirt expert with a minimum of 7+ yrs of experience.
- Expert knowledge of web hosting technologies (cPanel, Plesk, WHM, LAMP/LEMP stacks).
- Strong scripting ability in Perl, Bash, and Python.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Networking expertise - understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancing.
- Experience with RAID, SAN, NAS, and distributed storage systems.
- Experience working in a 24/7 production environment with on-call duties.
- Ability to build and configure servers from the ground up.
