Cardiothoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Operating Room (OR) Team. The Cardiothoracic Operating Room Scrub Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure for the cardiothoracic patient. The position involves managing surgical instruments, maintaining sterility and a sterile field, assisting the surgeon by providing necessary tools, performing surgical counts to ensure no instruments are left behind, and coordinating with the broader surgical team.

Requirements

• Associates Degree - Nursing Required
• BSN or MSN Preferred
• Registered Nurse Licensure
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• CNOR- Certified Nurse Operating Room Preferred
• 1 Year of Operating Room experience
• Previous Cardiac Operating Room Experience preferred
• Perioperative training
• Scrub and/or Circulator experience Preferred
