The Planner I (Production Support) role supports planning and coordination activities across production control and yard services functions. The role contributes to scheduling, work package preparation, progress tracking, and coordination with production teams and supporting departments to ensure smooth execution of ship construction activities.
Requirements
- Up to 2 years planning/scheduling experience in a large manufacturing/heavy industry environment, preferably in the shipbuilding industry
- Meet requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian Government Security clearance
- Post-secondary education in engineering technology, construction, operations, or marine programs is preferred
- Basic understanding of planning and scheduling systems (e.g., MRP, Microsoft Project)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with training or guidance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach to tasks
- Collaborative mindset with ability to learn and contribute in a team environment
