Seabird Island Band, based in Agassiz, BC, is a First Nations community organization dedicated to enhancing the health, education, and economic prospects of Indigenous peoples. Through partnerships and Health Transfer Agreements, it delivers more than 20 services—including health care, dental care, early childhood development, mental health, and employment counseling—to First Nations communities across the region. The Band runs a culturally grounded K‑12 program and Seabird College, which offers certificate courses that prepare students for the workforce and career advancement. Recognized for excellence with accreditation from Accreditation Canada and awards from the Canadian Medical Association and the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association, Seabird Island exemplifies a holistic, community‑driven approach to sustainable development.
