Job Description
The Associate Director of Development role at Scout involves leading projects focused on renewable energy development, mentoring a team of developers, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, with a focus on achieving profitable projects and stakeholder satisfaction. The role operates within a hybrid model and requires strong skills in navigation and decision-making.
Requirements
- ABachelor’s degree from an accredited college program
- 7+ years of renewable energy development experience
- Experience working in IESO, BC Hydro, AESO, or other Canadian power markets
- Significant experience in real estate, interconnection, permitting, and environmental studies
- Leadership of growing teams
- Strong understanding of project schedules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and geospatial environments (ArcGIS, Google Earth, etc.)
- Valid legal authorization to work in Canada
