Director, Quality Engineering

We are seeking a Director, Quality Engineering to lead our Quality Engineering team globally, managing the relationship between Canadian Banking Products Engineering (CBPE) business lines and ScotiaTech. The successful candidate will enable quality engineering through innovative solutions, build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders, and drive adoption of AI-powered testing and cloud-based device farms.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key business and technical concepts
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources
• Strong analytical, finance & accounting, data processing and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a leadership role with application development, technical architecture, data, or delivery focus
• Experience managing operating budgets and project budgets
• Strong project management skills, able to multi-task and manage concurrent projects
• Experience with vendor product assessment & selection, vendor management & negotiating contractual terms
• Proven ability to deliver platforms and capabilities and managing solutions through the lifecycle
• Significant experience leading complex solution implementations and team sizes ranging from 50 to 100 resources
