Senior Data Engineer (AI Energ)

S&P Global Energy is seeking a Senior Software Developer to provide technical leadership for all stages of software design, development, and maintenance for data processing applications. The role requires a candidate to handle data processing and develop applications for big data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in application development (including application architecture)
• Strong Java/C# and SQL skills
• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Big Data platforms such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark
• Experience with stream processing engines like Kafka, Spark, etc.
• Expertise in building event-driven, scalable & resilient systems
• Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience in Snowflake, Databricks, and Google BigQuery
• Familiarity and/or enthusiasm with Data Science / Machine Learning is a plus
